Hello Reader, I’m Shawn Anderson (as the URL states). Endeavoring Relevant Progress exists for my personal blogging pleasure, though my hope is that it would be a source of edification and encouragement to you as well. I like to collect links and thoughts on Christianity, and how faith and practice interact with current events. I am currently a student at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, and I am also a Registered Nurse in the Grand Rapids [1-2-3] area.
This is my third attempt at blogging, so we will see how long it lasts. My intention is to post Mon-Fri on a weekly theme. My first attempt at this was June 16, 08. My theme was The Gospel, speaking more broadly of Evangelism within a Postmodern Culture.
Please feel free to browse, comment, and don’t hesitate to contact me with ideas, suggestions, hate mail, etc.
In closing I’d like to leave you with a text that in a sense directs my blogging:
2 Peter 1:5-11 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence [or endeavor] to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
