This looks sort of like my library…

So I was browsing and came across this post…

Librophiliac Love Letter: A Compendium of Beautiful Libraries

Everyone has some kind of place that makes them feel transported to a magical realm. For some people it’s castles with their noble history and crumbling towers. For others it’s abandoned factories, ivy choked, a sense of foreboding around every corner. For us here at Curious Expeditions, there has always been something about libraries. Row after row, shelf after shelf, there is nothing more magical than a beautiful old library…

I am reminded of the passage in John

Jhn 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Imagine if these libraries were simply filled with worthy Christian literature!

  1. Where’d you get that picture of my basement?

BTW, can you please disable those hideous snapshot things for links? It’s almost enough for me to never return.

  4. Amen to good libraries. The smell is wonderful. I love taking the card out of the back to see what the date of the last user was. It is amazing to think of all the hidden things that do not get rediscovered.

Thanks for making me covet with that pic as well. ;)

  6. I think what Jordan is referring to are the little preview boxes that show up when you hover your mouse over some links. I use Firefox with Adblock Plus, which negates the effect, but if you’re using IE it’s an issue. (Of course, my advice in that case would be “don’t use IE”, but that’s another can of worms right there.)

Those are some gorgeous libraries, they’re quite impressive. One could easily spend several lifetimes in any one of them, I’m guessing.
