In February Acts 29 Network had their Pastors/Church Planters Conference, “Text and Context”. Most of the content is obviously related to Church and Theology topics. However my favorite lectures were given by Jim Gilmore.
His topic had to do with contemporary economic trends in America. His point was two-fold.
1) The current experience model that sells products is absolutely not the model that is to be used for sharing or preaching the Gospel. Don’t try to sell the Gospel.
2) Maybe you are called into the business world instead of the pastorate.
